Kick Up Your Heels for LAPS on May 4th and help us raise $300,000 to purchase a nearby farm to our property in Cochranville.  This will help us care for and nurse back to health more horses, ponies, goats and sheep while we work to find them permanent, loving homes.

Please Join the Herd and Kick Up Your Heels for LAPS on May 4 at the Barn at Linden Farm.  With your help We’re Going Places!

The party is Friday May 4, 2012 at 6:30 pm at The Barn at Linden Farm, 741 Hillview Road, Malvern, Pennsylvania

The mission of the Large Animal Protection Society is to stop cruelty to large animals in our community.

Founded in 1988, LAPS is an all-volunteer law-enforcement agency, mandated by the State of Pennsylvania to enforce Pennsylvania’s anti-cruelty laws for horses and other farm animals.  In response to calls from the public and local SPCAs, our humane officers investigate potential cases of illegal treatment of large animals in Chester, Lancaster, and Delaware Counties.  We improve care through education, and resort to legal action only when necessary.  Animals that come to us through seizure or surrender are maintained for life under our Adoption Program.

OUR GOAL for 2012 is to buy an additional property that is near our existing farm.  In January, 2010, through the generous donations of our supporters we were able to purchase a small farm in Cochranville.   Now the opportunity arises to double our, enabling us to help nurture and find caring homes for more horses, ponies and other large animals.  Once again, we are relying on the generosity of our LAPS friends who believe that horses and other farm animals deserve the protection that they are granted under Pennsylvania law.

$300,000 would get us there.  We need to take this next important step into the future of The Large Animal Protection Society.  Please Join the Herd and Kick Up Your Heels for LAPS on May 4 at the Barn at Linden Farm.  With your help We’re Going Places!
